Three tools measure how the site is used. Google Analytics 4 and PostHog show which rankings, use cases and calculators people open; Cloudflare Web Analytics adds page counts without cookies. Advertising features in Google Analytics stay switched off, and PostHog session recordings hide anything typed into a form.
Messages to the editors
The contact form forwards your name, email address, chosen topic and message to the editors as an email. We reply from it and keep it only as long as the conversation needs. No newsletter sign-up happens in the background.
Numbers you type
Figures entered in a calculator are processed in your browser and never sent to us. Checklist ticks are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device.
Cookies
Analytics run when the page loads unless you opt out. The banner’s No thanks button turns off Google Analytics storage and stops PostHog; the decision is remembered in local storage as fdr_consent. Clearing this site’s data in your browser shows the banner again.
Who else processes data
Our analytics and hosting providers handle data for us under their own terms. We do not sell or rent visitor data to anyone.
Your requests
To see, correct or delete what we hold about you (in practice, emails you sent), write through the contact page.
